Checking in
Check in to record attendance, either from your phone inside your gym’s set radius or with a QR code at the desk.
For self check-in you need location permission enabled and to be physically at the gym. Many gyms also require an active plan.
#Check in and out
Open Check-in
Tap Check in. The app uses your location to confirm you are within the gym’s radius. You can also scan the QR code shown at the desk (it refreshes about once a minute), or let staff scan your member QR card.
Attendance history Confirm check-in
If you are in range, your visit is logged with a timestamp. If you are offline, the check-in is saved and synced when you reconnect.
Check out
Tap Check out when you leave. Some gyms also record visits with a biometric device at the entrance. See Attendance management.
Your visit appears in your attendance history.
#Troubleshooting
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| "Check-in is outside the attendance radius" | You are outside the gym’s check-in radius | Move closer to the gym, or scan the QR code at the desk. The radius is set by your gym (between 25 m and 1 km). |
| "No active membership" | Your membership is expired or not yet active, and your gym requires an active plan to check in | Renew or pay your dues. See Paying dues. |
| Location permission prompt | The app needs your location to verify the geofence | Allow location access for Gym Incognito in your device settings. |
